This is such a great film!! Chris Nolan can make some of the best puzzles. Don't feel bad Brother J, this film as well as Knives Out and Shutter Island don't give enough info to the audience to figure things out early, but I find that refreshing. Usually films are easy to figure out early and it can make the rest of the film lackluster, but the ones that withhold just enough to keep you guessing until the end reveal are absolutely wonderful IMO. I feel the "beginning" is where he chokes out Jimmy and takes his clothes. That is when he gets the suit and car and begins the next hunt for the elusive John G. There is no telling how many people Teddy had him kill doing a similar scenario over and over and over. I can't even imagine living like that, it would be scary that every time you wake up you don't know where you are or what's going on...so sad. Some other WTF films I would recommend are The Prestige (2006) which is another Chris Nolan film starring Hugh Jackman & Christian Bale; Arrival (2016) starring Amy Adams; and Predestination (2014) starring Ethan Hawke (this film will f*** your head all up).

Some of the blu ray releases include a 'hidden' chrono version too. IMO it spoils the movie but maybe worth a watch.
