Great poll. All of these films are great and I hope J gets a chance to review all of them. :)

Obviously my vote ain't gonna win, but I went Philly mostly because Jonathan Demme's films are underrated masterpieces, all.<p>(Yeah, yeah, <b>one</b> of his films got its due.)</p>

It's crazy to think that now Matt Damon is older than Robin Williams was in that movie.

Good will Hunting is a fantastic film. But it really hits home if you've grown up with less, or been abused or abandoned in your life. Cast Away is another incredible film that can be heartbreaking and inspiring.

Villin

Gotta vote for Good Will Hunting. Fantastic performances all around in this one especially from the late great Robin Williams. For someone known best for his comedic roles, he puts in one of the best dramatic performances of all time.

Robin Ann Weber

Philadelphia is great with rom hanks and Denzel w. But requires a box of tissues the fears of gays and aids addressed Tom hanks got best actor at academy awards and golden globe plus MTV award

Dan Hunt

I put Good Will Hunting right up there with Shawshank and Forest Hump when it comes to great movies!

Michelle Bebo Horrigan

It was Outsiders or GWH for me. Picked the latter because of Robin Williams' performance 💜

GWH is definitely in my top 5 movies ever. The subject matter is so important, especially for anyone dealing with trauma. Brilliant dialog and acting.

someone on the true grit video suggested a John wayne poll.. I bet that would have more interest than one might think even with a younger audience John Wayne is kind of his own genre I can remember as a kid walking into a video rental store and "the Duke" would have is own section. I would suggest the searchers, Big Jake, which are traditional westerns. McKlintok is a western but also a romantic comedy. Donnovans Reef and the Quiet man would give 2 great NON- westerns

Frost, a story you'll dig:<p>Sinatra was havin a big ole party into the witching hours at a Vegas casino, like ya do.</p><p>Johnny Wayne was in a room a floor below. Wayne complained to the front desk about the noise...but...Frank Sinatra, so...</p><p>Wayne went up and pounded on the door, saying "be quiet!". A security guard at the door told him to f' off. Wayne grabbed a chair, smashed it over the guard's head knocking him out, and yelled, "BE F'ing QUIET!" </p><p>The party paused and Frank said, "Sure, bud. We'll turn it down."</p><p>And they turned it down.</p><p><i>LEGEND</i></p>

Good suggestions, I'm a big fan of the Duke. Rio Bravo and El Dorado are two more favorites of mine.

I like both of those even though they are the exact same movie or 90% the same. but Big Jake, the searcher or McClintock would win any poll.. 98% of john wayne's films once you get away from all those B movies in his 20'2 I like.
