Movies with overtures/intermissions should at least have warning labels on them, and should probably just remove them. They aren't a part of the *movie* just because they're on the original reel. They're space-fillers that were kinda needed back then, and aren't needed any more. We don't keep intermissions from symphonic recordings, and we don't force people to sit through videogame cut-scenes (unless you're a prick at Capcom or Ubi-Soft or etc.). Some old things are great! Some don't need to be preserved and can just be forgotten.

they were a part of this movie if you don't like them use the skip button on your remote. They should always be on any official copy of the film. [not skipping cutscenes is a good thing.] and I could not disagree more. longer films need to bring back the intermission.

This film won 11 academy awards just the same as return of the king- it came out in 1959 it is one of the all-time great films. The overture is 10 mins and the intermission I think is 5 mins was handy for a pee break without missing anything at the theater.

I think the largest film cameras ever built were used on this during the chariot race- they had to be built on sight they were so big. IT was also the most expensive film ever made at that time 15 million$. it is leprosy- back then some belief was A lot worse and Very contagious people were very afraid of it, and it could cause body parts to fall off like ears noses etc. A talent is believed to be about 30kg in weight so 1000 talents is 30,000 kg or 66,000 lbs of silver I think silver is at like $250 per pound atm so $16 million then you have the 4 to 1 odds.

The crucifixion of Christ was the wrath of God towards sin poured out on Jesus instead of US if by faith we receive him. Sadly Most of the world will say no. and yes as christ died people were healed, even some who were dead rose from the dead.

someone needs to put up the ten commandments for him to watch now. both movies make for a very good watch around easter weekend. Your reactions and feelings are really right where they should be seeing this [if he ever watches the passion of the christ it will really shake him, while it has some stuff that should not be in it really too much focus on Mary, it is as close to being there as you can get.
