Here is a story about something stupid I did

I made this corset this week (very happy with it, this "slot" in my wardrobe has been unfilled for a couple years for various reasons and I'm glad to fix that because it means a bunch of costumes i had on ice can be worn again)

So here's what happened

A couple weeks ago when S drove up from Florida I asked them to bring back a few things from my sewing room that I should have brought to Michigan in April but didn't, including my grommet press (that I use to put in the lacing grommets)

I was a little ahead of myself in the process, so I made the grommet panels early and figured I would just put the grommets in when the press arrived

So, after the grommet press arrived, I got busy, i didn't end up doing the grommets right away bc there was a lot of unloading and stuff to do for the first couple days

Well i LOST the grommet panels I had made -_-

Not a huge deal, they're easy to make, and I have plenty of their fabric around, just annoying that i was so prepared in advance and then dropped the ball

After a couple days of searching , including (coincidentally) a complete rearrangement of sewing room, I gave up and made new grommet panels Of course that means I found the missing ones, this is a law of the universe But WHERE I found them was very annoying

I had sewn them to the corset

Where they belonged.

Then I had put the corset on my dress form that entire time, which means I literally touched them in my search (bc I moved the dress form around several times)

It's no big deal, I can use the extra lacing panels for my next corset. Just another annoying ADHD thing 🤷‍♀️
