Lucas was returning home from another strange job interview. And it really was a strange interview, at least because no one talked to him, except for the secretary, who accompanied him at the beginning of the interview to a computer to fill out an electronic form. Even then, Lucas did not understand why this could not be done from home, but nevertheless agreed and filled in all the fields about himself, his name, date of birth. At the end, he was not told anything, but was asked to fill out a "consent to participate in the study" form. After a little thought and deciding that it would not be worse from this, Lucas nevertheless signed this form.

The voice sounded clear and distinct, as if someone was speaking loudly into a bullhorn. But no one seemed to hear it, except for Lucas, because all the people around continued to go and do their own thing.
