Review in Progress: No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky is simultaneously relaxing and stressful. No Man's Sky is simultaneously exciting and dull. No Man's Sky is simultaneously engaging and unrewarding. After almost 35 hours with No Man's Sky... I really don't know how I feel about it. So let's talk a little about my typical experience in a solar system in No Man's Sky.

I had that same "lost a ship" experience in my first few hours last night, so thank you for writing about it, because I feel less silly about it now. It took me an hour of fruitless searching (and finding more stuff in the meantime) to come to terms with losing the ship and inventory I had transferred to it, by which time it was time for bed. I'm ready to go back in tonight. I'll take your advice and avoid binging!

I wish there was a map that could be pulled up to refind places that have already been found. I am in the mind set now that I am not going to go back to something because I won't remember about it. But it is a beautiful addicting game.
