Perpetual Noob

Another good article Laura. It got me thinking. Dark Souls (and the rest of the Soulsborne series) is kind of like an example of one's workflow. Demon's Souls was the most overt about this because almost every level had a shortcut that couldn't be accessed without the player getting real far into the level (the most evident example that comes to mind is 5-2). The more we work and create, the more shortcuts we discover either through research or just fumbling around. The more shortcuts, the more efficient we are in creating. As I type this I'm thinking this is kind of like what you were mentioning regarding each attempt, we get a little better. Demon's Souls felt very much like, "put in the work, explore everything, and you'll find a shortcut that'll make your life so much easier". 🙂 Gosh I wonder if there is a minimum to how many hours we have to put into Dark Souls to get that tax write-off. 😉
