That's kind of a similar reason why I tend to try to avoid games like this. Oh, I'll happily pick it up and enjoy the experience and gameplay. Then, I'll stand up from my chair some eighty hours later to take a break and get into a conversation about what I've been playing just to start realize that I don't really know what to say or that it all sounds mundane. And, only then, I'll begin wondering just what it is that I've been accomplishing the entire time. In fact, I want to thank you for something. I forget exactly when it was, but it was some time after No Man's Sky got some significant content updates, an acquaintance of mine was telling me about their experience with the game and how much it improved, encouraging me to pick it up. It was your timely description on an episode of Podquizition about your time in the game and how you tend to get compulsively sucked into gameplay loops like this that which caused me to realize that the same tends to happen to me as well. I mean, I knew about that on some level. but never really put two and two together to actively realize it. I just wrote it off as being bad at remembering memorable events from long gameplay experiences. So, hey. Thank you for that.
