This was such a fun Podquisition. That whole pre-video game discussion was hilarious. 😆 Definitely going to be picking up Cadence of Hyrule. A less punishing Necrodancer? Yes please. 🙂

I'm so torn on the CDPR thing. On the one hand I feel like maybe I'm the audience they were targeting; I'm a cis, bi dude in an MMF poly relationship who specifically mods games, unapologetically, to eroticise them as much as humanly possible... I play sexualised trans characters in Skyrim and Fallout not as a means of self-expression or exploration, but specifically because I love both penises *and* femininity, and when I can smoosh those things together in a way that lets me kill Super Mutants then top Preston Garvey in celebration, I'm a happy chap. But then they keep doing shit that makes people I love feel marginalised and exploited, like hijacking their hashtags and now breaking the ice on gender fluid character creations by basically pimping them out. That makes me livid. And yet, maybe I'm the bad guy here too? Should I be mad at myself for paying the pimp? Because that's absolutely a character -I- would make, and murder people with, and fuck other people with, in their game.
