PrintableHeroes Mod Challenge (Patreon)

Greetings!

For years now resourceful Patrons have been modifying existing PrintableHeroes artwork in order to create custom heroes and/or representation for monsters/NPCs that aren’t currently in the catalog yet. In fact, there’s an entire Mod channel in the PrintableHeroes Discord that’s evolved to share these creative works amongst the PrintableHeroes community.

I’ve been wanting to highlight and celebrate this modding community for a while now and to that end I’m kicking off the first official PrintableHeroes Modding... Contest? Challenge! Let's go with Challenge.


The Challenge:
Anyone who wants to can submit a Modification they’ve made (old or new), the PrintableHeroes community will vote for their favorite Mods (I’ll reserve my vote to break any ties), and then I will create an official PrintableHeroes miniature based on the winning Mod. The miniature based on the winning mod will get its own entry into the PrintableHeroes catalog (with all of the usual alternate colors, VTT and cut files, etc), the winning Modder will be immortalized in the entry’s description on the website, and the files will be available for everyone to download for free.


Submissions:
Submit your favorite Mod (that you made) to printableheroes@gmail.com with the subject line, “Mod Submission” and attach a .PNG or .JPG image file of your modification to the email. Please include your the name for your Mod and the name you’d like me to use to credit you.


Requirements:

• All art used in the Mod must be from PrintableHeroes miniatures and/or be original from the Mod creator themselves - I really want to make sure we’re not misappropriating other artist's works in these mods.
• Mods must have both a front and a back view.
• Mod must be submitted as a PNG or JPG file.
• Mod submissions must be submitted to printableheroes@gmail.com with the subject line, “Mod Submission” by December 7th.
• Only one submission per person.*
• Please keep it PG-13.**

*If you need to update or change your submission you can do so up until the December 7th deadline, just please let me know in your new submission email that you want me to use the new image file if you’re replacing an older submission.

**I reserve the right to not include entries which I feel are inappropriate.

Submission Deadline is December 7th, 2023.

I encourage folks to also post their Modifications in the PrintableHeroes Discord - it's fun to see what everyone is working on and i'm sure it'll help inspires others to jump in.

Voting:
After the December 7th submission deadline I’ll create a poll on the PrintableHeroes Patreon page for the community to vote on.

Once voting concludes the winner will be announced and I’ll get to work creating a miniature based on the winning entry. I’ll be shooting for the end of December / early January release for the new miniature.
