The Vault of Mini Things Funded on Backerkit! (Patreon)

The Vault of Mini Things on Backerkit is fully funded (hell yeah!) and I just wanted to make a little update post incase anyone might be interested in jumping in before the campaign closes out on the 16th.

For those folks who might not know I've teamed up with the wonderful folks at TinkerHouse Games to produce a giant box (err Vault) of literally hundreds of my minis, terrain, props, and map tiles that will be pre-printed, pre-cut, and ready to drop on your tabletop.

A big goal of Printable Heroes is to provide representation for the common creatures and monsters that folks use the most, but one of the luxuries of Printable Heroes is it's a long game where I can continually chip away adding new things to the existing library of minis, but for a produced product like the Vault of Mini Things what's in the box needs to be as complete as possible right out the gate.

So a task of mine has been trying to identify the holes in my library and fill them before final art has to be sent off to the manufacturer. To that end I've been really grinding on work lately which has been an absolute blast and I figured it'd be fun to show off a few works in progress that both Vault dwellers and my Patrons will get to look forward to in the near future,

Giant Beetle and Centipede
Just something about drawing all these creepy-crawly legs... Oh! And notice the drool stuff coming off the Beetle's mouth? I think I'll do a version without it that will just be a regular giant beetle and then that drool can be colored as Acid or Lava like liquid and I can added a similar colored glow to the light grey sack on the side of it's head to represent Giant Fire Beetles or Giant Acid Beetles.

Centipede and Beetle Swarms

Honestly the Centipede swarm might be one of the better minis designs i've done in the last year, the vibe on it is exactly the writhing mass I was hoping to capture.

Dragons!

These have been on my plate forever and The Vault has been a nice kick in the ass to get me moving on them - bigger minis are always so rewarding to work on and I'm excited to eventually get around to doing some young adult and hatching versions - though I'm sad to say I just won't have enough time to get the young adult/hatching versions done for the Vault - possible future expansion? :D

Lets see what else... oh! When we were putting together some of the terrain sets for the Vault there were a few that felt like they could use some more props befitting their theme so yesterday I started working on some Spooky Trees and a couple other graveyard themed props to compliment the Cemetery set - here's a quick work-in-progress preview (soldier included just for scale),

I plan to take a pass and do a few more props for the sets that could use 'em. Current ideas include some piles of skeletons/fallen pillars/rubble to go along with the Ruins, maybe finally get around to that Market stall I've been wanting to do for the Village set... we'll see!

Okay, whew, typing is hard lol, alright, I'm gonna get back to my comfort zone of ignoring the world and just drawing stuff. Thanks everyone for bearing with me and for all the support, I really appreciate it!
