Hey everyone! Digging myself out of Avernus long enough to kick off this year's Seasonal Halloween miniature theme poll!

There were lots of great suggestions, with some of them being general enough  (were-creatures, skeletons, animals, etc) that I didn't want to limit their availability by making them Seasonal, so I'm saving those for regular minis.

Of the rest, there were some repeating themes that emerged from the suggestions and I tried to distill them into the following three options:

The Great Pumpkin

This was also a popular suggestion from last year and is a pretty iconic Halloween-esque villian. I'd see it as a large or huge plant abomination with a large evil jack-o-lantern for a head. Some possible supporting minis could be Pumpkin/Jack-o-Lantern headed cultists, monsters (who doesn't want a pumpkin-headed goblin?), or scarecrows.

Baba Yaga

Baba Yaga would be a really fun big bad boss mini to make and is a pretty fair representation for the hag/evil druid vibe several people were suggesting.  Could see doing an animated Broom, and/or some kind of folklore-ish supporting mini(s). I'd probably re-read some Hellboy comics and see if anything inspires me - maybe something red cap related?

"Ragman"

I'm labeling this one "ragman", as there were several suggestions in line with the Worm that Walks,  Starspawn, and Bogeyman type horror. My thoughts for this is I'd do a base creepy "Ragman" mini and then a Worm that Walks version, maybe even an eldritch tentacle variation as well.

The Wendigo was also a great suggestion I saw a few times, but I'd like to reserve  this one for when we do this years Winter Seasonal mini poll since Wendigos are generally associated with Winter/Cold/Snow/Blizzards/etc.

Couple other notes:

I saw the Nosferatu get suggested a couple times - I really wanted to do a Nosferatu reskin of the Mindflayer mini last year, but ran out of time.  I'm making it a priority this year and will be sneaking it in regardless of what theme we go with.

I'm also working on updating the old Bramble Corpses & Phytomancer minis (you can see progress on one of the Phytomancers here ) which I think should go fairly well along side all three of this years themes.

Thanks everyone! Excited to see what we go with.

Loving that phytomanser!! I would love to use it as some creepy druid

Baba Yaga for all the Ravenloft fans out there ;)

Might I suggest for an accessory for Baba Yaga, to go with the floating skull mount from Curse of Strahd?

Anonymous

II am so happy about this, just started running Strahd haha, what is the turn around though so i can pace the adventure?

Anonymous

Definitely a "Yes!" for Baba Yaga! Would love to see an animated broom of attack, the floating skull mount as suggested earlier, as well as her creeping hut. I know that they're in another option, but scarecrows need some mini love too.

CaptivePlague

I think I could fit Baba Yaga and Ragman more easily than the Great Pumpkin in a campaign.

Voted Baba Yaga, but we just got a redcap from Paper Forge. We just got a duplicate with the bone devil, would be great if you guys didn't double up again :P

I mean, Ragman sounds great and would fit with my current campaign, but Baba Yaga is more universal.

Sooooo good! All of these would be cool but I had to vote for Baba Yaga.

PrintableHeroes

Yeah, I think Trashmob just did a redcap as well, so maybe not a redcap from me for this one XD

Baba Yaga is prime bitch of the underworld. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVXay2360_M

Remember that Baba Yaga rides a flying mortar, not a flying broom!
