News - May - 2019 (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Another month and another newsletter update thingy. Life outside of work has been kickin' my ass lately and as a result I've neglected my email box a bit, so my apologies if you've sent me a message recently and I haven't gotten back to you yet - I'll start digging through the rubble looking for survivors once things have settled down a bit for me.

Other then that, just been steadily plugging away at a bunch of Goal Rewards (updates below) and keeping my eye on the horizon for the soon to be released Ghosts of Saltmarsh and the soon to be announced Descent  (lookin' like Blood War themed).

Yeti

• This sneaky git was also feature in last month's update, but since he was technically released in April I'm including him again here.

Hobgoblin Warlord

• Originally from my old orc marauder set, I'd opted to rework it as a Hobgoblin because upon reflection I felt it's militaristic vibe seemed better suited for 5th Edition's Hobgoblin lore.

Hobgoblin Honor Guard

• A variant of the Hobgoblin Warlord above. I'd almost went for a Devastator with this reskin, but ultimately decided a Devastator was unique enough to justify it's own unique pose.

Hobgoblin Cleric (or Paladin, whatever...) 

• Originally created to represent my Hobgoblin Cleric of Maglubiyet I figured he'd make a fun villain for DM's to throw at their players.

Human Cleric 

• A variant of the Hobgoblin Cleric, I wanted to do a PC version that might be a bit more generally useful then the Hobgoblin it was reskinned from.

Cult of the Maw Miniatures

• I did a series of miniatures last month that could be used in a friend's Cult of the Maw adventure. All of them are available on the website catalog.

Otyugh

• One of several Goal Rewards I've been focusing on completely. Files for this fella are are now available on the website and I'll be making an official release post for it later today.

Owlbear

• Another Goal Reward I've almost finished up. You can expect her out this week as well. Super excited about this one as we're closing into having all of the miniatures needed to represent all of the combat encounters in Lost Mines of Phandelver.

The Kraken

• Still closing out this beast. Quick update on the front & back views, I'll be adding the water to the back view and working to finish up the claws/hands and loose tentacles.

The Council

• The Council is currently voting on this month's Council Miniature and as of this moment the Grick is currently beating out a Ridiculously Good Looking Eldritch Knight that is bringing up a close second. It's looking like one or the other of these two will be selected to be finished up this month.

Kev's Lounge Paper Miniatures: Champions Series

• My good friend Kevin has launched an awesome project on Patreon where he is creating customizable figures in Fighting, Idle, Mounted, Sitting, and Unconcious/Dead Poses. It's an incredible amount of work and the level of polish, detail, and customization he's putting into these is just insane. I highly recommend checking it out.

The Cult of the Maw

• As I've already mentioned in passing a few times, another good friend and my favorite bar tender Law Johnson has written and released a wonderful one-shot adventure module called The Cult of the Maw which I made some miniatures for. Law ran a prototype version of it for me on my birthday a year or so go and it was very fun.

PaperForge's Hydra

• PaperForge is set to release an epic looking Hydra paper mini tomorrow,

WotC's latest D&D book, Ghosts of Saltmarsh will be releasing in just a few days so here's a couple other artists & friends that are creating some amazing nautical themed content.

Trash Mob Minis' Fishmen

• Trashie made a cool pack of fishkin that'd work great for sahuagin and kuo-toa. You can check them out here.

PaperSchnitzel's PaperCraft Boats

• I've totted PaperSchnitzel's incredible boats on here before, but with GoS on the horizon I wanted to give them another shout out. You can check them out here.
