I was playing around with some modular trees (composed from different configurations of the same branch art) and while I wasn't happy with the result there was enough of a positive response to 'em that I went ahead and setup a set of three of them.

You can snag the files for them here,

There is actually a quick and easy hack you can do with these (and they are gorgeous!). Print two copies of the same tree; add a slit from the top down on one copy, and the bottom up on the other, and then slide them together. Gives them a bit more dimensionality on the table, and makes that fantastic art visible from all angles!

Did you ever do one that is just a stump?

PrintableHeroes

Totally! I'd considered setting 'em up like that but opted against it because I thought it might be a bit confusing / a bit too much work for your average DM. But for the craftier DMs out there I'd highly recommend it :D

I actually didn't, but I've already got tentative plans for a follow up set of dead / burned trees and a stump would definitely be something I'd want to included with 'em.

these are cool. definitely going to do the criss cross trick like the guy up above mentioned. any chance we can get the black border option on these though? I do all of these with scissors so the black outline gives me a little safe zone. lol

There's a button above the trees in the PDF that will toggle on the black borders - might not work when viewed through a web browser so I'd recommend using Adobe Reader or other dedicated PDF application.
