Patreon is deleting goals (Patreon)
Content
I just got an email that Patreon is doing away with the goals feature, because they were finding only 4.5% of Patreons saw a noticeable increase in subscriptions when posting goals.
I posted my goals in December, and it's kind of weird the feature is just disappearing, but so it goes. I'll be just in touch in the future, just like this, on what my goals and plans are for this Patreon.
On a basic level, I'm not buying my fourth vacation house in Bermuda with the cash from my tickling activities. After paying administrative fees like business licenses, federal and state taxes, credit card fees, and the like, most of what's left over goes to various artists around the world. So the more subscribers we have, the more I can produce...whether it's partnering with models to make tickling content for us, or hiring artists to produce comic books, video game coders or animators to make awesome tickling games, or hiring animators to do animation, I plan on pumping pretty much most of what we make here into others. It's how I operated before I retired in 2015, and it's how I like to operate now.
Bottom line, the more people we get, the cooler stuff I can do! Goals gave us all a bit more visilbity into what the meant, now it will be kind of nebulous.
