.13 Release (Patreon)

Hey Folks, here are the links for the .13 release. It's mainly a collection of bug fixes and feature requests along with new content mainly along the Alpha line with interrogating Killer Frost. We've had a lot of feedback around the outfit changes, so in many spots those should be automatic if you try to walk in some place without wearing the right outfit. 

We've been working on a parallel release which was a bigger undertaking than we thought. Essentially this was a rewrite to streamline some of the play and rework the content to make it less linear. Like many development projects, we pivoted off many of the things, such as combat, which was the reason we went with the MV platform to begin with. In addition the large size of the downloads without the ability to web play are a turn off for many as well.  We will continue to churn out content for Altered Heroines but we're debating internally to examine the effort to relaunch in Twine or keep with MV.

It's always tough to decide you need to make a big change like that to a project but sometimes it's the right call.

I agree with Phaos. And sometimes you can only know after you try. On a different note, is there an updated walkthrough with all the changes in the recent updates?

Updating the walk through and I will post when it's finished. The main change is now that as an alpha, you can acquire an attachment to the Interrogation Machine in the factory to interrogate Killer Frost. The attachment can also be found in the factory.

am enjoying this update, but noticed maybe a glitch or two. The additional object for KF's interrogation and helping Circe with WW's mentor. I was able to do the first KF interrogation but the object attachment, while sparkling, didn't get added to the interrogation machine when I interacted with it. And after bringing WW's mentor to Circe and enjoying the scene, well, when I talked to Circe after she keeps telling me to capture the woman. Oh, and I can't seem to trigger Starfire in the store or at her apt in chinatown. Playing Alpha route.

while waiting for the updated walkthrough *many thanks DefShock* am wondering about corruption acts and how they may or may not affect certain scenes. I found that some scenes for Alpha route are included in beta route (in the walkthrough) but only alpha can corrupt mermaid in sewers and there is no LexGuard in south forest area in Zatanna quest in New Salem on beta route, she's only in Alpha route. While I was happy to finally trigger special nun donation scene, the nun outside of the clothing shop doesn't seem to trigger after *getting caught* in Alpha route. Does hero have to have low or no corruption to get her to *ahem* see something you want to show her?

I do apologize if some scenes hinted at in walkthrough (with compendium images/video from previous release) aren't yet in game or were nixed, but I'm just wondering if some of the Starfire and home visits with WW and Starfire images and videos are wip's or if the images/videos aren't going to be added in for next release. Anyway, this is a game I really enjoy supporting and playing and I hope it will be completed rather than abandoned.

sry to be annoying, but found a glitch with cop in beta route, um, both the cop you are supposed to be able to run into while wearing maid outfit...couldn't trigger that scene, but also the working girls in chinatown cops. Playing beta to get the male cop, the mc shows as Alpha and the female cop scene plays after sissified mc gives male cop an *incentive* not to bother the working girls anymore. To clarify, can't seem to trigger male cop while wearing maid outfit before getting tf; and in beta route in chinatown with working girls and cops the mc turns into Alpha red although he still gives the male cop something nice yet it seems the female cop also ends up all wet and sticky.

I also found a glitch. I can't save the game in the mac version. Sorry to have to report this. This is an great game.
