I think some of you know that one of my side hustle/hobbies is writing. I have 2 published short stories, 2 ongoing serial fiction series on Kindle Vella, and one novel that's waiting to go to an editor later this year. I usually keep all of this writing stuff over on my other patreon that I set up recently specifically for this news and content.

That said, I started a small passion project I've been picking at for a while and I decided to bring it here to gauge ya'lls interest in it. 

I've told you about my desire to bring my book world The Galean Universe to tabletop. I did a test of this with the Tor Horse figure which you can download from your tier's master post. However this world is massive and it's going to be a long time before I can bring it to tabletop. I really need to finish more of the books first (hint, next year timeframe) 

In the meantime ... 

A few months ago I started a serial fiction series on Kindle Vella called The Dead Wolf Diaries. This is an urban fantasy, dystopian story with zombies and werewolves. Yes, cliche, but fun! 

It's actually been doing quite well on the Vella platform, and, for fun, I started outlining a player sourcebook to bring the world to tabletop. My intention was to use 5e rules, but I'd been wondering if I could make the sourcebook in a way that any ruleset can be adapted to it. 

I started it for fun and to practice my game writing,  but the more I work on it, the more I've been wondering if it'll actually be a viable product. 

Because it's an urban fantasy setting, I've been recreating available player races and classes to fit the world. Rules have to change to fit the dangerous dystopian setting. This is a survival game setting. Grimdark and gritty, with new monsters/enemies and fauna. I've even been making maps for it - which happens to be very therapeutic and zen. I highly recommend. 

Sourcebook Introduction 

The Ravager Chronicles is an urban fantasy adventure set in the near future amidst a parasitic outbreak within the borders of the United States. This game revolves around survival, and is set in a grimdark, gritty, horror filled world.

Resources and rations are crucial, the environment unforgivable, and your enemies are ever changing, mutating, and insatiable.

The Parasite hasn’t just reanimated the dead, but also the shapeshifters you never knew were living next door to you. Parasitic mutations have created enemies far worse than a shambling corpse, and the environment itself has drastically changed in the wake of this invasive creature.

Due to the modern time setting, playable races and classes have been altered to fit this urban fantasy world.

The Ravager Chronicles first appeared as the plot setting for The Dead Wolf Diaries, a serial fiction series that was originally released on Kindle Vella. This story is the first-person, journalistic account of Persephone Lennox, a therianthropic werewolf who decided to brave the Deadlands of the U.S.A in an attempt to get home to Australia, after being trapped in the Safe City of Dallas for six years.

Now your party members must make their own life and death decisions. Will they remain in the military governed ‘Safe Cities’ or will they brave the intrepid landscapes of rural America. Will they create their own home in this new world, or try to cross the border and find out for themselves what has happened to the rest of the world.
