On the eve of my 50th Birthday, I'm adding a second patreon-driven podcast.

It's called Readings of The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations of 1851, or simply Readings of The Great Exhibition or probably something like Great Exhibition Podcast as time goes on.

Let me get this out of the way: For at least some time to come, this podcast will mirror on this Patreon, Patron-Only, With No Charge to Patrons. In other words, you're getting this second podcast as a free wrap-in to this Patreon, at no cost, for the foreseeable future. Consider it a "Try Before You Buy" or a "Listen Before You Glisten" or a thank you for being in this podcast endeavor for so long.

https://www.patreon.com/greatexhibition is the link to the Patreon.

Why am I doing this? People have said they like my voice and as a personal fan of audiobooks, I wanted to do something of the sort, but not work on current writings, but words from a long distance in history.

The combination of that is the fascinating Exhibition, which can be called the world's first hacker convention. It's certainly a rather unique technological world's fair, which caused a burst of writing and breathless prose, much of which works with my voice and top-hatted demeanor. It also gives me a podcast where I'm not writing the content, just curating, and that's a good secondary endeavor to have.

Things are looking like there won't be much public speaking for me in the manner I'd like for some time to come, and I don't know how long I've got or how long something like my voice or other health will maintain, and this seems like a truly fun and pleasant thing to bring into the world.

Again, you do not have to sign up for the Patreon to hear these episodes - they're coming here. I welcome your feedback on the project as it proceeds - after all, you were here from the beginning.

Hi Jason, so you're exactly 1 day and six years younger than I am. Many happy returns and a belated happy birthday to boot.
