In honour of the protest going on in my home province of Manitoba, where the government has made the decision not to fund a search for the remains of two indigenous women, this month's community charity donation has gone to It Starts With Us. 

It Starts With Us is a community-led initiative to support and honour the lives of missing and murdered "Indigenous Women, Girls, Trans, and Two-Spirits". The database documents Indigenous women, Two-Spirit and Trans people who have gone missing, or died as a result of violence.

From their website: The intention of this page is a space for family members to honour the lives of their loved ones through personal stories, photos or other important aspects of someone’s life. We hope this will balance the death related details the media tends to over focus on.
