Here are the skin tips from the video!

1. not just one color

2. blending

3. skin tone

4. shadows

5. highlights

But I'll start with BLENDING!

First of all, I don't like using the smudge tool when blending the skin! You can use the smudge tool, it's actually easier lmao but I prefer doing this method because the brush strokes are more visible and that makes the painting look traditional!

Painting above is my blending method and 2nd painting is smudged!

So here's how I blend!

Two colors.. drum roll...

Put the middle color in between them. Lower the opacity!

Use Color 1 again and paint over the middle color that that touches Color 1. Lower the opacity again or don't use too much pressure on your pencil! Do the same thing on the right side for Color 2.

Color 2 and Mid Color already look blended so we'll now focus on the left blending.

Now use the mid color again and paint over Color 1!

Then Color 1 over the mid color, and you just do that over and over again until you have a smoother gradient!

Now here's blending two super different colors!

Color 1 and 2! Both full opacity!

Use one color, lower the opacity, paint over the line that separates them!

Use 2nd color and paint on that part again! Lower opacity!

You can see the 2 colors mixed in the middle and there's another blueviolet color on the middle now! Use that with low opacity and paint on the middle again!!

You can also do this on the earlier mixing above instead of guessing the middle color hehehe

repeat and repeat until u have a gradient hehehe

DON'T FORGET!

  • The key for blending is lowering the opacity of your brush or not putting too much pressure on your brush!!!

I'll put a story showing this blending thing in my stories! It will be under the Patreon exclusive "tutorial" highlight! So make sure to leave your usernames on the pinned post so I can add you to my close friends list!

The story will be up tonight... when u see this i'm probably crying in the dental clinic.. pray 4 me.......
