Hello! It's been a very long time since the last time I did Cu Chulainn from Smite. I felt very inpired yesterday so here it is.

This artwork is inspired by Henry Scott Tuke (1858-1929), whose main color palettes are of yellows and warm colors. I had already seen some of Tuke's work in the past and always felt attracted by his management of light, color and his way of depicting male beauty, so I finally made a folder with many of his paintings in order to use as  references. The last picture is The Sun Bathers, painted in 1927.

I hope to develop my style further influenced by his work, but that doesn't mean I will entirely change the way I do my colors (specially for character artworks), although I do hope his influence to be noticeable one way or another. Even if I manage to learn something from him I'll call it a day.

Last but not least, some of the brush strokes in this artwork were inspired by Leyendecker at some extent.

On a different note, there's still 7h left to vote to help me choose which character I'm gonna draw next! We already have a leader but anything can change in the last minute. Please check it out if you haven't: https://www.patreon.com/posts/april-fanart-65182978

Whether you celebrate it or not, I hope everyone had a pleasant Easter/Holidays! x)

I hope you had a great Easter man! Awesome piece as usual :) It's cool to see your take on another artist's color style and how it compares to your own. I still very much appreciate the way you shade yours, so doing a mix of both every now and then would be neat. Always looking forward to new creations either way!

Thank you very much! I'm still experiment with this color palette but I still need more practice to polish this style :)
