Smite Fanart Contest - First look (Patreon)

Hi everyone! I've been  a bit inactive here recently since I've been catching up on some work here and there but in this occasion I bring you a rough sketch of what it's gonna be a Smite fanart illustration for an art contest hosted by Titan Forge and For Fans by Fans:

This month I won't do a fanart illustration chosen by voting like I always do since I need to be fully invested in this project for the next two weeks (deadline for submissions is on the 27th of this month) so I hope you can understand.

Despite this is a rough sketch, it took me many hours to figure out a composition and choose the characters to work with, and the whole process left my brain pretty much drained of all the thinking and preparations.

A good planning in the very beginning is very important when you're about to start a project since doing so will save you dealing with making many decisions on the go (which translates into precious time) and going back and forth fixing this and that often. I still may do some adjustments here and there but I consider this sketch a very solid approach to start with.

I will be making regular updates on this project during these two weeks and if time allows it, I may do some side doodles/sketches of my ocs (which one would you like to see more of?).

I wanted to include one god for each class (Assasin, Guardian, Warrior, Hunter and Mage) and some extra characters just for the sake of composition. If I get more time, I may add more.

Last but not least, I will work this using a simple (yet special) shading. There are some things that I'd also like to try for this. I shall see.
