Galar Gym leaders - Finished (Patreon)

Hi guys! Yesterday I finally could finish these color sketches of some of the Galar gym leaders from Pokemon Sword/Shield. I made some enhancements from last time and also edited some colors for the sake of contrast (like Nessa not having watery/blue background despite being a water-type gym leader).

As a side note, must say (and it's something I keep confirming myself) that in my experience, when you draw fanart of any character is best if you treat the character you're drawing as an actually oc of yours. I make mention of this because while drawing Nessa I struggled A LOT trying to get her iconic eye style as similar as possible as the original style and that made my drawing process to feel very "forced". Instead, I tried to just let it flow as much as possible and think of her as if she was a character of mine. That made it easier to get Nessa a more natural looking while keeping her signature features.

Overall, I gave this "oc" treatment to everyone, but I struggled on Nessa particularly because I usually draw male characters only. Drawing Nessa in a way that made me feel proud of was challenging.
