Kala - Leif/Xelgot rough concepts (Patreon)

If I want to achieve a goal, I have to do a series of small steps that eventually will take me to it. If I always keep telling myself "you're still not good enough", "I don't have time", "later, when I'm more skilled" and stuff like that on a daily basis, I'll never get to it. Lately I've seen many things that made me realize I cannot keep delaying this anymore, and even if I don't get to make a big progress soon, I need to start. 

Last night I had a dream and although I don't remember anything at all, the word "Kala" was stuck in my mind. I'm still not sure of what it means but it's short, easy to remember and sounds good. Until I figure out what it means, I decided to stick with it for my personal story project.

Whether Kala it's the name of the land my story takes place on or the name of a specific place, an artifact, a weapon, a person... I don't know yet.

Back to this post's subject, I made some very rough character design sketches of Leif and Xelgot: An everyday-like outfit and battle/raid outfit (I still have to work more on those).

The sleeveless outfit in Leif's sheet is supposed to be situational or during hot days (heat can be harsh at times where they live) but I like it very much that I'm considering making it his default outfit. What do you think?

I will be working on more rough sketches like this for the rest of my characters before making the clean final character reference sheets so expect more like this from now on.
