Gate of the Sun - Lore (Patreon)

Hello guys! Since Aiki reveal and the positive feedback I've got on the bits of lore I've shared so far, I decided it is time to start moving forward with the story of my characters and world building. 

This stone structure you see there was inspired by an in-real-life location (I'll share details later). In my world, there will be seven of this special places scattered throughout the land. During Leif's timeline, they're no more than ancient ruins, some forgotten by time and people. Stories say these structures are gateways that lead to a legendary land. The way to activate these structures are currently unknown.

It's fascinating how they're all scattered throughout the world and yet they all share the same background story of being gateways to another realm where the gods dwell. I haven't decided about the seventh door yet since I need to do more research first to be sure.

Aside of these doors of stone (I still have to think of a name to refer to them and also individual names for each) there will be another kind of special locations: circles of stones, like Stonehenge. I still don't know how many there will be (possible many), but they will also have a key role.

If you've been following me for a while on patreon, you may remember last year I worked on many of my ocs concept art while also telling more about their background story.
