I have an account, but I never use it, so I've no idea how it works or what do people do there, but since Patreon has the option to link with Discord, I've been giving it a thought for some time and I'd like to know what you guys think about it.

Really depends on how you want to use it. Discord is great for communication with others that want to be part of certain groups. I use it to talk with my friends and play games. The use of channels is a really big feature for Discord :)
