Merman warrior - color test and weapon design (Patreon)

For next stage, I went for this final design and chose an axe-like weapon; It looks powerful and it resembles the norse axe, signature weapon of the vikings. I also wanted to apply an undersea concept for it.

These are the color palettes that I chose for my warrior varying in the axe and the tattoo, both contrasting with each other: Axe (warm color) and Tattoo (cold color) and viceversa.

I like both but I haven't decided yet and I'd like to know your opinion. 

What I like from Left: I feel the blue tattoo makes more color  harmony and the axe combines well with his brown attire.

What I like from Right: I like how the red tattoo makes an accent and contrast with his skin.

What are your thoughts on this?
