I like Brace and don't think he's CIA. That said, it's irresponsible not to acknowledge that not only does the US have a history of using Kurds as a geopolitical weapon against Iraq (and Syria! and even Turkey)... but it explicitly weaponized the Kurdish question to muddy the waters around the US regime change war in Syria; spread division within the anti-imperialist left; and SUCCESSFULLY prevent the emergence of a meaningful antiwar movement re: Syria. None of this takes away from (1) Kurds' right to defend themselves from ISIS or (2) sincere leftists' good intentions in joining the MLKP, the YPG etc. But the least anyone HONEST has to acknowledge is that the geopolitics of the situation are messy and ugly, and it's unfortunate that the US instrumentalized Kurds the way they did (including using the YPG-affiliated forces to maintain its CURRENT illegal military occupation of Syria). I don't think Brace is lying about this because he's CIA, I think he's evading this because he has a bias from fighting in a war. But it doesn't change the facts, or the consequences of misrepresenting the situation, even by omission.

Also now that I see how people communicate on these sites or forums. I can see how it gets out of control
