Been thinking about what modern central ownership of housing would look like and all i can come up with is that a lottery must determine who can live in certain high demand areas ( based on actual performance toward social good somehow etc) and guess what this all has to be done fully transparently on a blockchain, otherwise it's the same corruption. Hilarious to imagine telling these renters that housing should be public property and they'll still be like HELL NO THE GOVT ISN'T OWNING MY HOUSE.

For mike “libtard” recine, New York is gay and all your problems with money would literally go away if you didn’t live in the gayest, most expensive city of all time.

Hate to break it to you, but it's already a lottery system. We just missed the lottery by a couple generations.

Damn, your landlord commentary is some of the best stuff out there right now. Thank you! If you ever made a "Landlords" sketch show, I'd guarantee all (both) my friends would watch.

There are similar rent issues in Europe but the difference is anyone from the ex Warsaw pact countries like me have home ownership of 80% or more so rents can't be as bad but in any big city in Western Europe they have huge rent issues. Only way is to follow China in rent control or like they did limit how many properties you can own as a single human being

does the watery dogshit 2000 population town you live in have any culture or is your anger born out of not being invited to the cousin-fucker bluegrass ball last fall?

MarkÜ

My culture is not paying $3000 to see an apartment lmao. You sound a little heated, better go down to the bodega and grab an icy kombucha to cool off bro

MarkÜ

Keep complaining about rent into your 40’s you nerd ass commie

Chris Mathews Jr.

you guys are fucking big picture geniuses. half the country is having their rental prices fixed, not just in NYC, and your solution is "move to Dildo Ohio, two hours from where your slightly above minimum wage job will be."

MarkÜ

If I had to pay $3000 a month for a 100 sqft cage, surrounded by insane homeless people, and the smell of human feces, I’d be mad too brother. I get it.

MarkÜ

I’d love to know your job and salary lol

Chris Mathews Jr.

i've never seen anyone who needs their fake email job taken away as much as you, so that we make you dig ditches 7 days a week for carrots

Reccine needs to read boomsday by Buckley. It’s about offering boomers cash to off themselves.

I gotta say that this ep was like a really long and depressing book report. Anytime you're reading a couple dozen statistics over the course of a podcast, it's a bad sign.
