So some have asked how I did that glow effect in the recent comic so I took some time to try and break it down. I use Clip Studio Paint but allot of this stuff can be carried over to other art programs

First you will need a pic and have the top layer selected

Then go to Layer>New Layer>Gradient

Doing this will create a new layer on top of a gradient using the two colors in your color wheel picker, you will see some thing like this

Now with the gradient still selected, pick new colors one of them should be black. This part is a bit optional, in the Tool Property window click the little icon that looks like a gradient ball and that will change its shape. That will also make a + show up at where the center of the gradient is, click and drag that to where you want it on the canvas

With the gradient's layer selected change its blend mode in the layers window to "Add-On (Glow)" This will make the black part of the gradient go invisible and make the colored part brighter over the images on the lower layers

Lastly there is just some fine tuning you can do to get the right look. You can change the layers opacity to change how bright it is. Adjust the size of the gradient and even change how soft or hard the transition from one color to another is.

I hope that gives you all some idea on what to do. Dont feel you have to do it exactly like the way I did it, use this as a starting off point and figure out what works best for you,

Also feel free to ask about other things and I will see if I can make more tutorials to help
