You told Atlas that you don’t mind if he sleeps next to you.

“Great! "Atlas said, “Now which side do you want? Next to the wall or on the other side?”

It’s great that Atlas considers almost every single thing, but currently all you can think of is that killer on the loose and that a while ago, Atlas almost killed the ranger.

“The wall side..." you mumbled.

“Okay! I got it,” Atlas replied.

Lying down on the bed next to each other was a bit awkward, but soon enough, it disappeared as a wave of exhaustion finally hit you.

“Do you want to know something strange? I can’t remember anything way past before I came here,” Atlas revealed. “No matter how much I tried to remember what happened before, I just couldn’t. John told me that one day he found me on the outskirts of the Old Helios Forest. He said, I looked as if I were in a trance.”

You listened to him intently.

“That was years ago. John said I have hardly changed ever since—I mean physically. All the questions made me want to wander back to the forest." His eyes turned glassy. “I should’ve gone alone, but instead I took some kids with me from my part-time job, and that’s when they all disappeared, and that’s the time where I found Lone Man.”

Atlas turned to look at you.
