You figured the worst thing you could do was go straight to the front door, so you carefully surveyed the surroundings and looked for an open window. After seeing numerous bear traps and almost getting swallowed by obvious pits of death, you successfully found an open window.

With a grunt, you slid the window open and pulled yourself inside the house.

It was a small room with a single door and steep stairs that probably led to the attic, based on how long it was.
