"The name's Kristine," she said. "I rent out my bike every day—at least when I don't have errands to do."

You looked at the dark green bike. "Cool," you replied.

"So, you're new here, right?"

"How did you know?"

She shrugged as she held the strap of her backpack, preventing it from sliding off her shoulder. "I just told you I rent my bike every day. It means I stand here almost every day, and I haven't seen you around except yesterday when you went in the library."

"Hey! Hey! What's going on here?"

Your eyes drifted from Kristine to the guy running towards the both of you. It's Atlas, the guy from the library.
