Finnish army relied heavily on old Imperial German equipment left from WW1. Besides the M/22 uniform and other clothing, it wasn't until the late 1920's that Finnish field gear production started. That's why for the first independent decade, Finnish army and White Guard had a very German aesthetic

unknown number were left in Finland after the civil war, either by Russians or Germans. Army ordered some 100-200 from Denmark in 1920, and they were used quite a lot in training until they were sold to Estonia
