Hey fam, sorry for the delay in upload. Only got back from interstate today!

How did the awards show work? Were other groups sitting in the crowd watching, or was everyone backstage? Would have been cool if they were all watching the performances. The boys did an amazing performance as per usual. So proud of them getting a Bonsang as well. So deserving of that as well as many other awards.

My Hometown was so funny. The elderly are so cute and always crack me up. The older man was such a typical "grumpy/cold on the outside but warm on the inside" type of a person.I don't know if he was putting on an act at the start but it was cute how he warmed up.

Mingi is so great at bonding with older people as well, he is such a natural and it's really wholesome to see.

The ladies who studied for 6 years are so inspiring. Brought a tear to my eye. The fact that they wanted to do this just for their own achievements and goals is really cool. Studying is really for anyone regardless of where you're at in life. I can imagine it's also really great for keeping their brains active and challenging themselves. So motivating.

I love this episode, made me emotional too! The elders are always so cute, even when they’re grumpy. I’ve grown up in country Victoria, and everyone knows everyone and everyone else’s business. And that’s not an exaggeration. But maybe that’s also because mum and dad are teachers and are involved in the community, unlike hermit me. 😂 Anyway, yay to your YT channel being back up, missed watching your reactions ❤️

Omg I love that! I guess it would be different growing up in the country. I grew up on land but was only like 1 hour from Sydney CBD. Once I moved out of home I’m moved from town to town often. I would love to experience that community feel

Hahaha the dancers definitely steal my attention from time to time 🤣🤣 See I think I would hate people knowing my business but I also would love feeling safe with a nice community surrounding me you know

aw you're so cute. when they started talking about the elderly people getting an education and listing their ages, i could see the tears shine in your eyes HAHAH (i mean same though). it IS beautiful. I'm Taiwanese and I've gone back to my mother's ancestral area (where her family is from). It's pretty similar to this honestly. And there's tons of places in Taiwan that look like this also. In very rural areas though. 100% in those areas, everyone knows everyone. If you live in the city, the elderly are out and about from 5 am to 10 am. And they're so lively. There are these "markets" (kinda sorta, theyre like little booths where people sell produce and food) that are open so early in the morning. And the elderly use that time to walk around, buy groceries, and say hello to each other. I used to visit once a year. And i lived in my cousins house. We would go out to buy breakfast at the corner of the street. Literally within two days of going there, the store owner could recognize us and know what we wanted to order (lol, we got the same thing every day so..). But the pace in the mornings for elderly people is just nice and slow. And you take your time to buy and talk. Then i would say the rest of the city wakes up around 11 am (if you don't work. if you do work, then around 11 am, the first shift of lunch happens and lots more young people come out). But these elderly people always have so much energy! more than me sometimes! and they're so adorable! But this doesnt really happen in america. i live in california. the closest feeling like this is passing a neighbor while walking and talking to each other. for like a regular person, who has a 9-5 job . like someone said in another comment. we have nursing homes, but i consider that a little different as well. In Taiwan, there are tons of places like the one you see in the video. Very cute and such simple times.
