Hey fam,

Just a quick appreciation post for you all. It’s a Sunday afternoon here and I am just sitting down reflecting on how thankful I am for this community.

I’ve said it before, but I didn’t have any kpop friends before starting this channel. I felt very isolated and very “uncool” around my friends who (god love them) but just didn’t understand “this world”.

Because of this channel, I have found friends who I love dearly and have created a community of people who not only understand me, but are also on my level in regards to regular freak outs due to numerous kpop idols 😂

I can’t express enough how much finding you all, has allowed me to feel “accepted” in a world where I felt alone (when it came to my likes and interests).

Regardless of wether your an active contributor in comments/lives or a silent viewer, just know that you being here makes me feel comforted and I hope you feel comfort in being here too.

I do frequently watch the Skz vids and an occasional kpop lives but I also appreciate you and this community cuz its so warm and friendly here. I have been a fan of kpop since 2008, so it's been quite a few years of it just being me who listened to that type of music and having no one to get excited over it with. Watching you videos has made it even MORE fun and enjoyable, and knowing that there are people who get just as excited as me fills me with such happiness I don't even know how to properly express it. I know exactly what you mean about having no kpop fans and someone to share your level of freak out. The only person in my life who is kind of into kpop is my big sister and that's just bts and she doesn't share the same excitement over cb or getting your bias pc. I love her and it's nice that we can listen to bts together but it's a different kind of comfort I feel here. It can be hard being a kpop fan when no one around you is, especially when your older. The community you've built give me do much comfort. I was a silent watcher of many kpop reactors for a long time and I still am except on your channel. I always watched the replay of the lives and not only you but the people who joined the lives always seemed like they were having so much fun. So I decided one day ri join and it really was so much fun. It's no nice to here other people's thoughts on the kpop world. I live that I can ask questions about a group I'm not familiar with and share what I love about groups that I am familiar with. I always look forward to your reactions. When a new video comes out I always think Mel is going to love this or I wonder what she and the others think. It's nice because even though I don't actually know anyone in this little community you built it does feel like I have friends here. So thanks Mel for being all of our comfort space. It may sound really simple but just having a place where you can be excited and tell people you got your bias pc and people be genuinely happy for you is ac6really amazing. Well I think I rambled long enough lol, just want to say again thank you! 💜

Oh wow, reading your post and these comments is giving me such a wonderful feeling <3 I'm lucky to have been part of a lovely Kpop community before (during COVID shutdowns) and that was really an important support network for me at the time. I still have close friends from there, and because of that I know how some people in this community and you feel in terms of finding a sense of belonging. I am so grateful that you decided to share a part of yourself and nurture this community so that others could connect with people they didn't know they needed in their lives as well. It's clear that you are so passionate about engaging with others who express their excitement too (I still can't believe you reply to almost every comment to this day), and sharing that energy has made more of a positive impact than you know. Regardless of where you decide to take your content and whether life changes what we have now, the past 1.5 years of watching you come out of your metaphorical shell and the joy that you have brought us will always remain close to my heart. As a fellow San bias in Ateez, I’ve ALWAYS imagined what it would be like to have a friend who also loves Kpop and to have a friend who we can gush over our biases together haha. Don’t worry girl, you’re not alone there’s plenty of us who understand you I mean…a whole lotta them are genuinely FINE looking men, really talented, charismatic to boot and they’re groups make awesome music. Some of my friends don’t understand and they genuinely think these guys wear makeup 24/7 and mock that…but I’m like…it’s apart of their JOB…they don’t wear glitzy stage makeup outside of it too 😆 (not that there’s anything wrong with men wearing makeup). Many of them are naturally handsome, I mean… helloo! you know of that Instagram video of shirtless and no- makeup San at the pool in Thailand??!! Absolute drool worthy. But yeah, I really appreciate you too and just know there’s many others that appreciate you. It’s always great to see a genuine fan. Love seeing your genuine thoughts and reactions on these amazing groups, it’s like watching with a friend. Your friends who don’t understand are missing out! 😝 I’m glad I found you! 😄❤️
