I LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF THIS!!!!!! And now I am completely in love with Day 6 and I need ALL OF THE INFO THERE IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you 'Life's A Beach', this was so fun! And I know you said they cannot dance dance & they know it and it’s beautifully ridiculous BUT they kind of have rhythm hahahaha

Commenting this before watching this so I don't forget but if you'd like to learn more, I'd have to rec the 2 part guide by fandom icon wonpilates. Their discography in it's entirety is top tier! Also, day6 do go to Australia on tours so you could see them in concert one day (They're currently in the military though so there's that lol).

Also yes isn't I'll Try such a tear jerker! If you want to cry more, fyi Wonpil wrote it for his mother when he thought about how he could never return as much love to her compared to what she gave him. 😢 The lyrics are really lovely too.

It's definitely "You Were Beautiful" and the MV that goes along with it is beautiful too. It's a heartfelt message to a past lover from the singer/someone who is ready to move on after a failed relationship. Basically it's saying that the time spent with the person created beautiful memories, so that's why it is past tense.

Sungjin just recently got discharged from the Military! He's actually got his own youtube channel now which seems to be posting one video a week: https://www.youtube.com/@user-pq4co8fu3p The other three will all be discharged in 2023: Young K in April, Dowoon in July, and Wonpil in November. They're in three different military branches and are being promoted about as much (or even more) by the military as they had been before enlisting (especially YoungK). Jae is unfortunately no longer part of DAY6. He's currently back in California doing his own thing and releasing music under the pseudonym eaJ.

Life's a Beach

That was so much fun. Thank you Mel, I loved getting the chance to introduce you to a bit more of my boys. They're not particularly flashy or exciting, just generally all a bit weird in their own wonderful way. You did get all the members by the end, well done you. I'm not going to inundate you with a whole bunch of facts straight away. Just that Sungjin completed his military service in September, Young K (aka Brian, aka Kang Younghyun) will finish his in April, Dowoon in July and Wonpil not until November. Jae is a US citizen so no service for him. BUT Jae has left JYP & the band and has been doing some solo stuff whilst the other members are busy (I'm really hoping it's temporary). Young K has a solo album 'Eternal' & single 'Guard You'. Wonpil has a solo album 'Pilmography' & single 'Voiceless'. Dowoon has a collab single 'Out of the Blue' with Song Heejin. Jae has a whole bunch of solo project stuff (mostly really short) under the name eaJ (pronounced eeej) and I have been intending to suggest some for future Lives so keep an eye out for that (‘Pacman’ is a must).

I am so happy you are checking them out! They have been my favorite Kband, after FT Island and CNBLUE. These 3 are at the very top for me. Also!!! If you have a chance- please either react or listen/watch on your own YoungK’s solo work as well- he’s incredible ( member of Day6)

Jae left for a few reasons, one conflict with the company not letting him do his own projects - during Day6 when he released his solo stuff it was all on his own channel he couldn't get monetized for it so none of it was on Spotify which sucked. Two he would get in drama a lot, and he actually said himself on a stream he felt like he was hurting the image of the band, so that could possibly be why he left. I just think in general he is not the typical idol and his thoughts were very unfiltered, making many people dislike him. Although I will say he has done some things I think it is understandable why people were mad at him and he has apologized on certain things he said. In despite of this, Jae is still very supportive of Day6 and tweeted the other day about them; and he still follows all the members. His solo music is really good tho and I think you would love it. I recommend "It Just Is" and "Pacman".
