I’m rewatching the survival show again with your reactions - agree super harsh words from JYP - tho reading the comments here things were left out - I think Felix’s nerves/confidence level played a huge role in the dance mistake and his delivery also - they were all so stressed and fighting themselves striving to be better-do better- cycle —. For Hyunjin I think his lack of standing out/charm was him trying not to be ‘just a visual’ he’s rebelled against that role/label since the beginning- His aggression may have stemmed from that in part… I think post debut he accepted it as a facet of his performance as long as it wasn’t his sole reason for being there…

third time watching this and i still cry every time at chan, changbin, and felix 😭😭😭 also it’s so funny how i saw a clip of felix on tik tok and that’s literally how i entreated the fandom a year ago. bc of him! i wasn’t even into kpop at all and he caught my attention immediately (as he does a lot of ppl!) so proud of how far they’ve all come 😭

The point of the show was to build SKZ a dedicated fanbase by showing off their skills and also their bonds with each other. Since it’s an MNET show though, they clearly intentionally made everything more intense and dramatic for the ratings. A prime example being that “fatal choreography mistake” which was actually quite not that bad?? Man… Seeing Felix cry (any of them really, but he’s been my bias since the beginning of my time as a STAY) will always make me cry, even if I’ve seen it multiple times already (like this episode). Only two more to go!

I remember watching these at the time this episode just came out, after this episode had released, I had finally started to watch the show. I remember people spamming any of JYP’s posts (even one for his birthday lol) to bring back Felix and Lee Know. I really do think the fans had a huge part in them coming back to the group. He could see that they were better as a whole at the end of the day

I agree that JYP words were harsh but this is one of the reasons why our kids are so good, as JYP said others will give them compliments but he's there to give them feedback so they can continue to grow, who else will do that for them. Though I think, this is why Chan is trying to be good at everything because JYP instilled that to his head from day one and I don't agree with it, Chan is amazing enough, he's already doing so much than he has to, he's just human, he doesn't have to be perfect.
