Izzy

Ahhh I've been meaning to recommend DPR Ian for a while!! I think he's actually from Sydney so the same as Felix and Chan! The MV for No Blueberries follows on from the ending of So Beautiful too if you wanna check that out. It's just cool to see so many fellow aussies in kpop lol

Honey

These are always so fun and full of laughs!! Cant wait until the next one :)

ven0nmsch4rm

Oh my goodness you're a black rose 😭 I always get so excited when other ppl listen to them, I really can't wait for all of them to come back 🥺

Luan

The back to back Rose and DPR IAN really did it for me 😭

ohh I missed the live, so I missed DPR IAN! just letting you know So Beautiful is actually a music video trilogy collaboration with CL! she is featured briefly in So Beautiful (she's the one who pushes him into the water). the music video order is 1) So Beautiful 2) CL - 5 Star 3) DPR Ian - No Blueberries. next livestream you should watch the other two.

Honey

This was the half that I missed and now I'm so upset I didnt get to see DPR IAN with you guys bc omg that was an experience lol. Haven't heard of him until now but I'm lowkey obsessed and have already started stalking his insta lol

Olivia H

Still so butthurt that I couldn’t hang but it’s probably for the best. I would have been positively blowing up the chat and I’m really happy with how much you got through haha I feel like I have so many comments about every video but what I’ll actually say is, I HAVE A BIG FAT THIRSTY CRUSH ON JUNJI OH WOW THAT MAN IS FIIIIINE THIS IS SUCH A PROBLEM HE’S EVEN FINALLY WEARING CLOTHES AND HE STILL DESERVES JAIL. A MENACE. LOOK AT HIM AM I DROOLING

perrbearr

I saw DPR Ian live at Head in the Clouds last year and....holy shit... he was so good and so so beautiful in person. and then he came out for CL's set too and it was incredible.

Melanie Lillis

WE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and once again I'm cracking up at your comment 🤣🤣🤣

Healing smile

16:17 It's also fun to watch the music videos of Block B, the original singer of this song. The leader, zico, produces almost all songs, and he is popular and recognized as a solo singer. Block B is an idol from the same agency as ATEEZ, who changed his name to kq Entertainment in the Seven Season. ATEEZ has a pirate concept because of Block B.

ateez's cover of "anyhow song" was originally seo taiji and boys (a 3 member group formed in 1992)! they were Immensely popular in korea and were part of kpop's most formative years! taiji was main singer and main songwriter and one of the members was actually the founder of YG entertainment (yg/ yang hyunsuk himself lol) and they're really influential should i say? back then as you can see from the montage of ateez's stage. a lot of groups have covered seo taiji's songs over the decades bc they're so well known n loved and bts too has covered songs like "classroom idea" and remade "come back home" back in 2017 (that was wild). in sept of 2017, seo taiji actually invited bts to perform 8 songs with him at his 25th anniversary concert (AND GODDD can i say they went off i love bts so much) and also seo taiji treats them like his sons and said that he respects them a lot!

2023-06-02 17:46:29 for "right now" you're right! it was a PSY special snbsjdjs also yunho dressing up as PSY and hongjoong saying "ah that's an IMITATION" and referencing the drama "Imitation" for which yunho was the 2nd male lead on that was also a drama under KBS which is the same broadcasting station as "immortal songs" IS SO COOL they put so much fun n wit into their performances 🥺so for "immortal songs" it's a competitive show for singers with guest stars like songwriters, artists, genres as Specials/Themes w every episode (senior artists like PSY, Kim Jongkook & Turbo etc and songwriters like michael bolton, Pdogg (BTS' producer) as parts of their Producers Special) that starts with the mc picking a singer/group that day at random by drawing a lot from a bowl and they'll compete against each other, winner of that round goes to the next to battle out the next competitor(s), so on and so forth until they win the trophy at the end. ateez has won the trophy thrice of of their five appearances on the show and here's why it blows my mind: though not a lot of idols go on it because there's this. Bias? stereotype in not just korea i think as an asian myself i think the older generation just isnt as welcoming to people wanting to pursue music. and because of that there's this bias that people who want to dance n sing n rap are "frivolous" even though they arent and most debut for a serious love for music. i've watched immortal songs occasionally since 2014 and it's always so competitive because most of the singers are solely focussed on singing and it's hard to pick a winner when they're all so talented. when i saw ateez perform i thought that they put out such a well rounded performance they incorporated so much of their "idol" persona and more modern sounding music into their performances and still manage to move and wow everyone in their audience with their sheer talents and passion for music. and them getting a trophy on their very first performance with Black Cat Nero? That was practically unheard of ive never seen an idol group win the trophy on their first appearance but it's so well-deserved 🥺

it's so insane to me how most people found btob through kingdom when i only watched kingdom for btob (also btob is pronounced as Be-Too-Be they stand for Born To Beat)🥺 they're such heartwarming and genuine boys who arent afraid to show their realest selves and they're all clowns 😭 sucked that hyunsik n sungjae were enlisted in the military i missed them so much but im so happy they're all back from military service 😿 (tbh sometimes when i comment these things i just think ive been stuck in this kpop hell for too long HENDSKDKSK it's been 13 years LET ME OUT)

It doesn't look like you've gotten many recs for the next live other than my DPR Ian list, so not sure if you want more. I am an unending fountain of good taste, so just let me know if you need more things to react to.

Martina

hi haha same I've been into kpop since 2009 and my first group were SS501 🤧 I should just join the kpop grandma club atp

angel

HDNSNJSJ for real.... just turned 20 and like hitting the big 2 and realising ive been in kpop for more than half my life.... Had to pause

Martina

got into kpop thanks to boys before flowers when I was 15 now I'm 28 😣 it never ends does it

Christina Lee

So I realized I never sent the recs that I mentioned. Anyways, I love joining your lives and lives in general because then I get to hear music I wouldn't check out on my own (unless you literally forced me down and played it for me). I can't believe I missed your live reaction of the Double Happiness performance! When I first discovered it, I replayed it so many times! Anyways, if you wanted to add these 2 to the next live or just listen to them, I'm so curious what you would think of them. The group is called History ( 5 members, disbanded now tho :( ). Both performance versions, because... reasons :) 1. Might Just Die : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa7QfiKGvfk 2. What Am I To You : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxFQTL5-isM See you later! Thanks for taking the time to do reactions and lives!

OMG YES TO VIXX, BAP, AND SF9. VIXX was the group I stanned for a couple years before ATEEZ, still love them, but ATEEZ is now ult. Their mvs are really some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. BAP One Shot, I'm embarrassed to say, made me cry when I first watched it. LOL. SF9 Tear Drop and Trauma are great! And both are on my playlist too!
