Hey I'm still working on storyboards, but almost done for now - next week I'll have 5 animatics done, so I'll start backgrounds and then animation. My plan is then to cycle between boards/ backgrounds/ animation.

My day job has wrapped for the season and I'm working full-time on Sublo and Tangy Mustard. I'd like to keep doing this for as long as possible, so I'm switching the Patreon to collect monthly rather than per cartoon.

'Per cartoon' made sense to me since it was charging for a finished product, and the show has mostly been a side project I do in my spare time. But I want to try it full-time for a while and see if it can be even slightly sustainable. The nature of animation is that there's a lot of pre-production before anything exciting is ready to share, and most of the upcoming episodes are fairly long, but I've been working on this new stuff for a while now. It also seems like most other animators' Patreons are set up monthly and it just feels silly to not do it that way. So the idea is that you're paying me to work on the cartoons, rather than just for finished episodes. I get it if you want to adjust or drop your pledges, but I'll be extremely grateful if you stick with me!

There will be some small new Sublo cartoon content within the next month, and bigger stuff shortly after that. Also a little patreon-exclusive stuff. I'm gonna post some raw Flash files for older episodes, so let me know if there are any in particular you'd like to look at!

Episode 4 "Katy's Birthday" would be crazy!

I'm glad sublo is such a tiny production for all the weirdness and tiny touches you get to make by hand, but i'm so sad it isn't bigger cause it's exactly the sort of thing I wanna work on in a studio

thanks, that's really nice to hear! I agree, it's fun to see what weird little stylistic quirks come up from people doing things at such a small scale. Although it's the kind of thing I'd love to work on in a studio too!
