Starting Storyboards (Patreon)

Hey, sorry things have quieted down again! I've started working full-time again on industry stuff so Sublo and Tangy Mustard is unfortunately on the backburner again, and it's been hard to keep making progress on it since I'm storyboarding on both at the same time. It tends to be easier to do personal work when it's different from my day job, but right now I'm directing boards on Tuca & Bertie for 8+ hours and then trying to storyboard on Sublo, in the same room. I don't miss having to travel to work but I do really miss the separation of work and personal life!

Anyway there is some solid progress: Thumbnail boards for all 9 episodes are complete (the scribbles I do on paper), and I'm now getting started on the animatics in Flash. The character designs for the season are coming along well-- I forgot how enjoyable it can be to play with shapes and variations on a design idea. I'll share some of those soon when I have time. Audio-wise, the episodes' radio plays are as finished as they can be for now but I'm still waiting to record a few key voices.
