Sublo and Tangy Mustard Season 1-2 Scripts (Patreon)

As requested the other day on twitter, here are the script PDFs from Sublo and Tangy Mustard seasons 1 and 2! Most of them are pretty much the same as the final episodes, but here and there you can see things changed. I've included episodes that were recorded but not animated:

* The original third episode 'The Race' which just had an overly convoluted plot and was never that funny. Bits of dialogue were repurposed as filler in 'Picnic' but otherwise this one will stay buried.

* Episode 6 'Conference' (the original version of 'Convention') which didn't actually change that much, I just sort of expanded and clarified it. The final season 2 version of the Convention script has the leftover parts highlighted in red so we knew what to skip when recording the revisions.

* A short, aimless Christmas bonus episode 'Shopping' which might come out this year with some tweaks. It mentions a girl Tangy Mustard likes who works at the bank, who will appear in the next season - and hints at Sublo having a crush on Katy, which is something I've thought about a few times and always decided "no it's better if he doesn't."

The Picnic episode (originally titled Drinknic) had a significant amount of reworking, mainly during the animation stage. I'll post the board animatic sometime which includes all the stuff that was cut!

I've found it interesting looking at these older scripts again, especially the season 1 episodes. The characters were more vague, and it's funny how little things that were almost arbitrary at the time have become building blocks for bigger elements of the show. I guess that's inevitable when writing a series.

Now with season 3, the characters have become clearer and more real than ever to me, and I've been having a great time writing the next chunk of their lives. I'm currently planning a trip back to Toronto and starting to schedule records with the cast, and still doing some final tweaks on the scripts.
