Mewtwo's Got Your Back! (wip updates) (Patreon)

Just wanted to share some updates on the Mewtwo pic. I decided I wanted to try a painterly style for this image, as a special thank you. Painting isn't necessarily my strongest suit, but I wanted to try to make this something nice.

Unfortunately, from the snapshots below, I kinda have a tendency to "overpaint", which... may have ruined this first pass...

It started nice with a nice baseline. (Arms are both still kinda todo)

Then I went to add another layer which was looking really good and starting to pop things out. Felt a little flat in places, so I wanted to add more depth to it...

And then... sirens started going off...

And then our mewtwo friend suddenly took a left turn into Silent Hill... whoops

Not that it wouldn't fit there, but I get the feeling that wasn't what you all would want.

Thankfully, I have a backup of the second one, so I can probably back track and rework it from there. It isn't uncommon for me to try to "find" the art, but it does kinda leave me behind from my original goal of Easter.

I personally like the background a lot and will probably keep that of all things. 

I just wanted to give you all some lovely updates. There are also a collection of sketches to share this month. Jubilations will be had.
