As you can see, I remade my old Tracer model to "more realistic" style, to make it more suitable for a realistic environment and male models. I would like to hear your opinion about it and about idea itself.
After the last project (during which I made many production mistakes) I drew conclusions and revised my methods in producing content. I think it would be better to produce animations with a more elaborate concept than doing 10 second loops every week.
What does it mean?
- 1st - Is the reference. I started working on "Intensive Care" without references, having only a simple plan in mind which ultimately affected the production time in the first place ( the whole first part was redone from scratch due to the fact that I was not sure whether it looked good there was nothing to compare).
- 2nd - Concept, environment and props. On the basis of a good reference it is already possible to build a concept: determine the place and time of action, in what clothes will the characters be and what additional props will be required.
- 3rd - Model and texture quality. No matter how good you are at work with lighting and post processing, if the initial quality of the model and textures is low, then it is difficult and/or time consuming to fix it without modifying them or does not make sense at all. Therefore, it’s better to immediately resolve this issue or take note and fix problems for the future project. I did not do this in "Intensive Care" and I had to fix problems in the process using workarounds and duct-tape.
Yes, all this may take longer but I think the result is worth it.
So, what do you think?
