Good afternoon everyone!

Time to update you on the work I've done over the past week.
Tia's bonus scene got completed saturday night, it was a bit of a rough release as some of the changes I made (added new character pictures for Tia around rumah that change depending on her outfit) and a new daily cycle which I added for Dasan's (before he becomes chieftain).
The problematic part was that because of this new alternative route for Tia I had to consider a lot of aspects and even though I thought I had everything covered your tests proved that I had overlooked some variations.
Since this wasn't the first time this happened I've come to the conclusion to label new releases from now on as testversion. This means when a new version is complete I will as before release it after I think most bugs are done, but this way people who want to play a bug free version know they have to wait a day or two until the fixed version is available. I think this is a better solution than to release it only to a few testers, but if you think this isn't the right approach let me know.

After the bugs were then fixed on Monday (and I made another rework of Tia's dialogue images because some didn't like them) I've finally started to work on Lyvia's content. I first began with taking a look at her current content. By doing that I've come to the conclusion that her doggy animation needed a rework, so I've made one. Then I thought about how the new mercenary system should be integrated.
I've worked on new sprites for the mercs. after that came another thinking moment...I wanted to make an extra map to expand the camp similar to what I did for Rumah. But the more I thought about it I came to the conclusion that it would be a much better experience if the player wouldn't have to switch maps to get to the new area. So instead of adding a new map I expanded the current camp map.
Originally when I first made the bandit camp (version 0.1.3) I hadn't planned for it to serve for the purpose it does now. Expanding a map however isn't that easy, as it means that I have to rework all movement commands on that map. Unlike Rumah, however, there weren't that many on the bandit camp map.
When this was finally done I've continued my work on new UI elements for the Mercenary managemant menu. This is something I'm currently working on and I hope to get it some what functional by tonight.

So when can you expect the next release? It's still a bit early to say, but I think by the end of next week I will have gotten a lot closer to a playable version. So to give a rough release date, I plan to make a release around the 10th of October. Next Friday I will probably be able to be more precise.

That's it for now, I'll continue on until I get to a good endpoint for today.
I wish you all a nice weekend!

A rough release with a few issues like the last one isn't so bad when your response is so swift. Your ability to correct the issues in just a few minutes after someone has pointed it out is unparalleled by any other creator I have subscribed to. Releasing to a few testers will have upsides and downsides and you won't know how effective it is until you try it. Obviously it will streamline your approach to fixing anything you missed because you will be working with just a few people that will gradually get better at testing but the smaller number of testers will miss more issues than everyone does now. I did notice that there were a lot of repeated reports of the same issues so at least it will decrease the number of times that happens. Ultimately I think it is best to release it to everyone as you currently do only if you find it not that difficult to work through the chaos of the repeated reports and poor explanations of the issues. Otherwise it may be better to find a few people that explain well and you can rely on.

I'm looking forward to wrapping up Lyvia's story and finding out about the Raven after all this time! I do also appreciate the smaller side changes with gear improvements, armor pieces, weapon things, skill upgrades. Again, these things might not be the main thing that draws the attention to a player, but it's really a wonderful addition for people that have been around longer, I think. It definitely helps with any min-max "urges" that people have, I for one have such min-max urges where I just want to have the best item in slot with maximum upgrades, etc. What are your thoughts on Kirlic? Do you have any goal set for yourself on when you want to move into that direction? Christmas? Some time in the new year?

this is one of those updates that will have impacts later on down the road both player wise and mechanically. so this was one of those updates that needed to be in before kirlec was implemented. kirlec thou is justifiable 2ish updates away. all we actually need is the crossroads inn in before kirlec can be implemented and were good to go. reason for the inn is simple as well. we need to pass it to get to town, plus three people can give that update (kate, claire, and ophilia) so its a vary easy get.

Kirlic was already available as vote option in the pre poll for the content poll (a few times). So it will be added once you guys decide it's time for it. But as the options of the pre poll are not replenished it's only a matter of time. I'm expecting it to be added to the next content poll or early next year (in case you vote Julia through first)
