Playing with fire (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

The past week is almost over again so time for a quick recap on everything I did.

Monday and Tuesday were all about getting the update done in time. First the main update and then a day later I did everything I could to get a new animation for Hiba on the way for the first part of the bonus scene. I also reworked her old animation at the campfire (I wanted to give it an update a long time ago).

On Wednesday then I continued working on new animations for the bonus scene. And there was another topic that I really wanted to work on: fire... I know this might sound like something less important, but for me it was a really big thing. There are already some scenes with a campfire/candle. And it always felt bad to me to see animations play out while the fire was a still image. So because of that I now took the time to work a bit with blender to get a fire animation working.  My first attempts didn't quite work out. So it took almost the whole Thursday until I finally managed to get a fire animation rendered.

You can see the result in the gif of this post (The quality has suffered a bit from the compression to .gif but I felt it was more important to show the animation then the image itself) There is of course still a lot room for improvement, but right now I can't put more time into this because otherwise my other plans for this month would suffer.

So today I continued working on animations. I put animated fire into Ayita's dance scenes at the fire and will probably update some more for the next release.
I hope that the bonus scene will be done early in the coming week so that I can then focus on the expansion for Rumah and the completion of the quest with the Orcs.
