Soo the week is again almost over.
Finally 0.2.5 completed for the most part atleast. I will update the release later today with all bugs fixed that you report to me until then and currently I'm already working on the bonus scene for Maui. I will do everything I can to get this out before tomorrow night.. But I can't 100% promise that this is possible :/
So to talk about this update in general, my original Ideas were a lot complexer.. I wanted to add a worker placement interface where you could switch jobs of the people.. Then I had ideas to make each worker an individual and give them equipment and training before they would fight against the orcs.. But when I realized how long all of this would take I had to cut it down.
Then the battle with the orcs: I had seen some real time fights people had created with the rpgm engine and liked the idea. But problem was that the only script that I had seen was in chinese.. and ofc it also was an ABS combat system (*action based system, like in zelda) so even if I would have implemented it this would have been in conflict with my turn-based combat system... So I ended up making it a semi scripted event where depending on the things you have built before you would gain an advantage and some of the dice rolls were a bit in your favor.. Still this scripted version took me 2 days to make and in the end it needed a lot of fixing afterwards.. All of this made me question the current combat system in the game. I have already written something about this on the discord and will also write something here in the coming week.
The content poll has ended yesterday and Kate & Claire have won. So update 0.2.6 will be about them preparing for Kirlic and a bit more interaction between the two also some new guests at the inn.
The next content & bonusscene polls will be up next week.
Yesterday I also updated the wayfarer link to 0.2.4.7
