I take Zach for a ride with this debut album from Ethel Cain. Preacher's Daughter is a concept album with influences from Americana, ambient, slowcore, sludge, gospel, industrial, noise, horror-electronica and country. It's a wild mix that works due to the compelling and dark overarching story about Ethel Cain.

It's so beautiful, but so dark. Perfect for Good Friday, I'd say. After the last one, I think I'll refrain from eating for the rest of the day.

I don't think I have a favourite yet, but I really enjoyed the latter halves of all the initial songs because of how much bigger they got towards the end. Hard Times and Ptolemaea definitely made an impression though!
