Bambu Lab A1 Printer Recall (Patreon)

This is an announcement for everyone who owns the new Bambu Lab A1 printer. There has been an official recall issued for all A1 model printers currently on the market "regardless of their condition". Bambu Lab has made an announcement addressing this recall and stated "We strongly urge all customers to stop using their A1 printers until the issue has been resolved".

Bambu lab has found that less than 0.1% of all the A1 printers sold have an electrical malfunctioning problem related to heatbed cable suffering from damage reported.

Bambu Lab stated "While the number of faulty printers is very small, we take the safety of our customers very seriously, and until we learn more about what exactly causes the heatbed cable problem, we recommend everyone stop using the printer for their safety."

Since all of the A1 model printers are now under recall, Bambu lab is offering two options to those who purchased one.

Option 1 - Return for Refund: Customers can return their A1 printer and receive a 100% refund of their purchase. This means that you will need to repackage your printer and ship it back to them just like you would do with a regular return.

Option 2 - Wait for Heatbed Availability and Replace it: Customers who don't want to go through the hassle of the return process can choose to wait for a replacement heatbed to be sent to them (expected around the end of March).

They are offering an $80 discount voucher for the customers who return their printer and a $120 discount voucher for those who choose to wait for a replacement heatbed.

I just wanted to bring this recall notice to everyone's attention incase anyone was unaware of this issue. I know a lot of people within the 3D printing industry purchased the new A1 model back in December and when there's a potential safety risk of a 3D printer it is very important that it is brought to everyone's attention immediately.
