The femiform mono-sexual natives of the world Zellia II are known for their tradition of feeding themselves to the quasi-amorphpus voricen should they fail to demonstrate fertility or some other highly valued quality by a certain age. The tradition is also applied to visitors to their world as well.

A voricen appears as a translucent, slightly luminous gelatinous mass dangling several tendrils. They are somewhat translucent and come in colors ranging from light green to light blue. A voricen moves by slowly floating around between 1-4 meters over the ground.

A voricen feeds by attaching itself to the subject's head. It leaves the face clear. As soon as it attaches to a subject, it begins to grow over the surface of the subject's body. Depending on just how hungry the voricen is, the process can take between several days and several weeks. The subject suffers no harm during this time, and the voricen will consume any body wastes once it covers the relevant orifices.

Once the voricen finishes covering the subject's body, it will eventually consume the victim but abruptly transforming the subject into nutrient fluid. This may occur at any time within three days after complete covering. There is no advance warning save the covering of their face moments before being liquefied. The voricen will then absorb the liquid over several days. It will take several weeks before the creature shrinks to its base size and form.
